This brief examines the performance of one prominent manifestation ofthis trend – the growth of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs)
in education. PPPs are long-term contractual arrangements where the private sector provides infrastructure, assets, and/or services
traditionally funded and managed directly by governments. They often include some form ofrisk sharing between the public and private sectors.
